Job Summary: The Program Support Planner will support critical company programs serving government and commercial customers, in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment. This position assists Program Managers in daily operations by providing planning, scheduling, and administrative support. As a small business, Sonatech relies on the capabilities and good judgement of our staff. Employees retain a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning, scheduling, and administrative support to programs of varying size and complexity involving research, engineering, manufacturing, testing, product demonstrations, and customer field demonstrations
  • Work with program managers to plan and allocate resources to meet program schedules, milestones, and deliverables; analyze resource loading and adjust/deconflict as needed
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that programs maintain all company and program quality standards
  • Work with the Contracts and Program Finance team to track and maintain contractual compliance and financial performance of programs
  • Track program budgets, resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure program is operating on schedule and under budget
  • Help identify and predict schedule, resource, and/or budget problems, and offer solutions
  • Track program-related hardware (location, disposition, serial numbers, etc.)
  • Document program progress to support program reporting requirements
  • Organize and maintain program-related documents (paper documents and electronic documents on a shared server)
  • Contribute to proposal efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with acute attention to detail
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • This position requires either US citizenship or permanent residence status

Preferred:

  • Experience using Microsoft Project or comparable program management software a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Access or comparable database management software a plus
  • Experience with inventory tracking
  • Experience with Government contracts and/or Government regulations (e.g. Federal Acquisition Regulations System)
  • Active or previous Security Clearance is desired
